Because FF.net won't let me start a new thread because I'm not a mod or admin, and because I neglected to tell awin right away. D: It's only a rough copy because lord knows I suck at giving instructions, but.
I don't know what to call this event; we can think up of something later. xD awin mentioned Valentine box so shall we just call it a Christmas box or something? *shot for being unoriginal*
Anyway! On to the event itself. Kura-chan has suggested use of qssgfaculty so if none of the RP players mind it being hijacked, we shall use that instead. :D What we'll do is we make a post on the LJ, and everyone comments ONCE. Initially. Just once. xD That's one comment for every person who wants to take part.
Then, once everyone has snagged a comment, we start replying to comments. For example, I steal a comment.
"*does something idiotic like bouncing around*"
And I'll have my LJ on so everyone knows it's me. xD
Then when the event starts, let's say Kura-chan and Vio-chan and awin drop by my comment, and leave messages. They could wish me a Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, or simply say that 2009 has been fun foruming with me. Whatever they'd want to say, but I ask that you keep it positive, yes? :D After all we want to spread the cheer~!
And then they move on to another forumer's comment, (say, Dudly) and say nice things about Dudly. xD
So everyone ends up with a ton of nice, lovely comments. :D And we'll probably squeeze them all in since the reply boxes get smaller and smaller. :/ But anyway. If you're taking part, please comment everyone! Even if it's to wish them a wonderfully smexy 2010, 'kay?
Anonymous comment-replies are allowed but not wholly encouraged. :D If you don't have LJ, don't worry, we'll enable anonymous posting but just stick your name in the comment somewhere.
Aaaand, if it makes sense....?
awin, did I miss anything? xD I probably explained that really chaotically. If that's even a word. :P
Yeah, if this doesn't make sense...shoot the questions. xD
Will that do, awin? Should I expand, make it easier to understand, make it actually sound coherent...?

Desktop
A kind of photo meme from awin? Take a screenie of your desktop. xD Unfortunately, mine isn't as cute or as adorable as awin's. :/ It's pure black. The main reason why is because I share it with the family. xD Or I swear I'll have a character's face plastered on there. Maybe Basil, or Athrun, or, or, too many, I need a collage for them all. xD
Rules, I guess:
• Anyone who looks at this entry has to post this meme and their current wallpaper on their LiveJournal. (I did it on my blog. xD)
• Explain in five sentences why you're using that wallpaper!
• Don't change your wallpaper before doing this! The point is to see what you had on!
1. I'm using it because my family shares the computer and we don't have separate accounts because it's annoying.
2. It's....simplistic? If I didn't moon over a character every few months I'd go black too. xD
3. ......It's kind of hard to justify a pure black background, so I'll just skil reasons 4 and 5. xD
4. Oh. It reflects my face better, I guess. A totally lame excuse that occured to me two seconds ago. xD
5. NIL.
If the photo looks edged out, maybe open in a new tab? It does that in Firefox. xD I do have quite a lot of icons, though, I suppose. I cut them down when we bought a new computer, but still. :3
Neat and tidy, I like all the icons moving to the left. My former maths teacher has them all over her desktop, it's quite, quite filled with only scraps of background showing through, I don't know how she works like that. DX And I don't like folders on the desktop, either. DX Just apps, mostly. I don't like word documents and stuffs on the desktop, either. xDDDD
*fusses*
My sister complains that we have too many rows of icons. xD All of them are required, I assure you. I do use them. xD Except one or two, which I might have to get rid of now. xD

We are lucky that Protectors make up as much as ten percent the population, because their primary interest is in the safety and security of those they care about - their family, their circle of friends, their students, their patients, their boss, their fellow-workers, or their employees. Protectors have an extraordinary sense of loyalty and responsibility in their makeup, and seem fulfilled in the degree they can shield others from the dirt and dangers of the world. Speculating and experimenting do not intrigue Protectors, who prefer to make do with time-honored and time-tested products and procedures rather than change to new. At work Protectors are seldom happy in situations where the rules are constantly changing, or where long-established ways of doing things are not respected. For their part, Protectors value tradition, both in the culture and in their family. Protectors believe deeply in the stability of social ranking conferred by birth, titles, offices, and credentials. And they cherish family history and enjoy caring for family property, from houses to heirlooms.
Wanting to be of service to others, Protectors find great satisfaction in assisting the downtrodden, and can deal with disability and neediness in others better than any other type. They are not as outgoing and talkative as the Provider Guardians [ESFJs], and their shyness is often misjudged as stiffness, even coldness, when in truth Protectors are warm-hearted and sympathetic, giving happily of themselves to those in need.
Their reserve ought really to be seen as an expression of their sincerity and seriousness of purpose. The most diligent of all the types, Protectors are willing to work long, hard hours quietly doing all the thankless jobs that others manage to avoid. Protectors are quite happy working alone; in fact, in positions of authority they may try to do everything themselves rather than direct others to get the job done. Thoroughness and frugality are also virtues for them. When Protectors undertake a task, they will complete it if humanly possible. They also know better than any other type the value of a dollar, and they abhor the squandering or misuse of money. To save, to put something aside against an unpredictable future, to prepare for emergencies-these are actions near and dear to the Protector's heart. For all these reasons, Protectors are frequently overworked, just as they are frequently misunderstood and undervalued. Their contributions, and also their economies, are often taken for granted, and they rarely get the gratitude they deserve.
((I don't think I'm a Protector. Not by much. xD I think they got it the other way around.))

Wajas RANT!
Because I don't know anyone else who plays Wajas and reads my blog, I'll put it under the cut. Besides, awin's already suffered through my long-winded ramble. xD
Wajas is contemplating whether to implement a forced retirement thing that makes all wajas over a certain number of days (they're thinking 100-250 days) unbreedable.
Which I think is utter bullshit.
Look at Waja's name. Wolf BREEDING sim, dog BREEDING game. Wajas take 25 days before they can breed. That makes them 25 days old. Cutting off the breeding period at about 100-250 days is way too short for breeding, especially since you have to wait 5 days before they pop. Raaawr.
...Actually, talking to awin made my rage all drain away. *flops* xD So I have nothing to rant about now.
Meh.
And here I was hoping to work up a really impressive rant so I could maybe leave Wajas.
*goes to breed like rabbits*

Yay~!
Exams are over! Over! Totally and completely over!
Although, Japanese was much harder than I'd expected. DX I did all the past exam papers, they were easy, even when I did them under exam conditions, but this year's. Geez, it was difficult! There was a passage read out loud in Japanese, and one of the questions they expect you to answer is to sort of interpret the ending and what happened.
One person said that the woman turned into a horse.
Another said that when the man looked out of the window he saw many horses wearing purple scarves.
I just put that the man saw a purple scarf and many presents. xD Because for some reason, I think that many horses wearing purple scarves just sounded wrong. xDD
But yeah, much harder than I was thinking. I almost didn't finish them all, and i'm sure my writing section was not up to par - too short - but anyway. PROPERLY DONE! OVER! Now the last thing I have to handle is my third blood donation of the year. xD

Mrrrp
You know, I really don't like having to think up blog titles. They're all just the same. .___. How many titles do I have that's titled 'Mrrrp' or simply '......'? xD
As to the internet issue, apparently it seems like we had been cut off on the 17th, but the provider immediately reconnected it again - charging us $40 in the process. DX As mum so nicely found out when she paid them a visit at the branch in town.
Which is, in my opinion, utter bullshit. First they send a letter (dated 10th) saying that we hadn't paid our monthly fees and were now overdue for a payment. So mum called them, and the person confirmed that she -had- paid, and it shows on the computer, but the system wasn't recognizing it and thought we were overdue.
Which totally sent me in a frenzy looking for someone to take care of my adoptables. ^^;; Sorry, Vio-chan. But, I have internet now! xDD
And then, on the 17th, we tested the internet and found out that it was still there! Well, amazing. Maybe the company had fixed their mistake.
But apparently not. They had cut our internet, then automatically reconnected it and charged us $40. *fishes them* I mean, that's just stupid. They cut it and reconnected it and charged us money for something we had paid in the first place! DX We pay $60 per month for internet. Then they charge us an extra $40 for taking away and replacing something we had bought and then expected us to pay the full amount (another $60) plus an overdue fee ($5). Which is a-fucking-ridiculous.
But luckily, mum doesn't like wasting money, so she got on the phone and wrangled until they refunded every single thing. 8D Which is goood. We're going to change providers after our holiday. God, Bigpond, you suck ass. *hurls moldy cheese*
But as it means that we have internet, I can happily ribble my time away online. xD My last three paragraphs have been started with a 'but' which my former English teachers have pounded into me that is not 'correct' but on an informal blog I hope it's okay? :'D
So I shall tuck quotes from the Eve Dallas series under cut, because I love them so, even if they might seem a little odd taken out of context. xDD And it'll probably just reinforce the fact that I read rubbish anyway. xD
...Aww. I didn't bring along some of the books for the quotes. DX I had to stop myself from typing out a page or two, because I don't think it's fun without the context, but meh. &hearts For my own enjoyment. xD I would...probably warn you not to check the cut especially if you think I have dubious taste in books. xD
"...Anyway Trina's got some outrageous new body paint."
"No. Absolutely. I don't do body paint."
Mavis rolled her eyes. "For me, Dallas. We know you. But I think you should give it a try one of these days. I bet Roarke would really go for the Gold-Dust. It does amazing things for the boobs. Makes them sparkle."
"I don't want sparkling boobs."
--
He picked it up, waved it. "It's signed and everything."
"I just bet it is. Is this going to spring back and bite my ass, McNab? Think carefully before you answer, because I promise you, if it bites mine, it's going to have a chew fest on yours."
--
"Officers, if you can manage to tear yourselves away from the all-you-can-eat buffet, take posts outside the doors of both kitchen exits. As cause of death has not yet been officially called, I'll remind you that you're stuffing evidence in your faces. If necessary I'll have you both cut open so that evidence can be removed."

Eeeep!
I have YET another adorable anime/manga character to squee over. xD Yes, I'm slow in reading Reborn, but. BASIL! &hearts Basil is so freaking adorable I want to cuddle and then nom him. o_O I took to the internet to find fanarts of him so I could try sketching him, but I didn't find any I liked. DX So I finally copied some of the manga pages, since he looks so sweet in them. xDD Raaawr! But he's so cuuuute! *totally spazzing out* You do not want me on Skype and talking about Basil at the same time. xD You'll burst your eardrums with my squeals. Eeeeee~
But he's so cute. *bounces* So adorably naive. Like I can talk, seeing as I'm stupidly naive myself in lots of areas, but still. :DDDDD I love the art in KHR. I love all the characters. And I'm only on volume 10. DX I want to sketch them! ;~;
And I had a dream the night before. A proper dream where I could remember stuff. xD But it was pretty ordinary. No magic, no fantasy, no weird people and insects. *shudders* The dreams a couple night ago had insects. Cockroaches. Down my trousers. DX I wanted to die.
Anyway, the most recent dream. Very ordinary. At the town library. The library had just opened, so not many people were in there. I went straight to the youth/fantasy section, because it's the place where I nab manga. xD And there, hidden behind the shelves (somehow the design of the library got rearranged a little) were a group of guys who apparently had nothing better to do, so they were joking around and shoving books off shelves. D:
So I got really mad. Stalked up to them and ticked them off pretty well by ragging them for tumbling books off the shelves. They got belligerent, and shoved another stack of books over before stalking off.
I snarled at their backs. xD
Then, I got the books I wanted, went to the counter to have them checked out. I was staring at the library cards, wondering why mum's name was on my card.
And I bumped into the group of guys from earlier. Blatantly ignored them while they shot glares at me.
And then it wasn't me any longer. D: It was Eve Dallas - or maybe more accurately, I was Eve Dallas, but at the same time not really....yeah, that totaaaally makes sense so I'll skip the rest of the rapidly morbid dream. xD
But I got more Eve Dallas books today, so I'm really happy. &hearts
And internet hasn't been cut. *dances even more*
Yaaay!!

Second Skype call
...with awin-chan. I must remind myself that awin is very good at persuasion. xD I left the webcam on for more than 5 minutes, definitely, and now I owe Vio-chan a webcam call, too. ^^;; And as usual, conversation starts with comments on how high my voice sounds. xD I don't mind. I just wish my voice wasn't as squeaky. xD Raaawr!
And, as usual, I fail more epicly at vocal conversation. Whereas typing online is much easier. I find it alarmingly difficult to pronounce 'awin-chan' and 'Vio-chan' and 'sono-chan' verbally. Mmmm. I need to practice speaking more often. xD I don't speak English often at all. Verbally, that is. Mmmm. I guess that's not very good. And awin, sorry about the lousy house tour. xD Today was forecasted to be rainy. :/ So I didn't take the laptop outside.
But what is it with the garden? xD Is it really that big? Lots of trees, I admit, though...Everyone comments on the garden when they visit, not just via Skype, here. People my mum ask over. They're always asking after the garden.
Even though the grounds our neighbours have just about rivals ours. xD But, I guess I was the same when I first came. 'ZOMG TREES' sort of thing. xD
But, but, just in case the internet doesn't cut tomorrow, can we Skype again? 8D I can find this addicting. Lord forbid I become a camwhore. I just need to find something to talk about. (The whole entire point of Skyping in the first place.) I'll make a list of random things to talk about. So i can stop trailing off uncomfortably. ^^;; Sowee.
And Aywas today was shit. D: First someone says they want to trade items with me. I say yeah, send my stuff off, and they say they've gotten it.
Then suddenly they go offline, without sending me their end of the trade. DX And it was something I really wanted. And to think that I won't be able to get it in time to do what I want to do before losing internet, it sucks. I want to bite them so hard. *snarls*
And THEN, later in the day....how shall I put this without going into Aywas geek speak. I was playing a game (so to speak) that required me to give it a rare-ish item. I had one, but it was my only one, plus it took me ages to get. I was hoping to sell it to get monies. I poke the chat, ask the other players what they think.
So a lot of them say, yeah, give it to the game. And two of them - TWO - offered to replace the item I paid if the game doesn't give me something good. They said that they had multiples of the item, and could afford to throw it.
I went ahead and fed the game the rare-ish item.
And got something sucky in return.
I poke the peoples back.
They acknowledged the fact that I got something sucky, but refused to give me an item replacement.
And that really, really ticked me off.
I decided not to push them on it. But it really makes me hugely mad. Okay, 25k. No big deal. No big deal.
I'm just generally pissed at them. Rawr. I want to punch them in. If the other person doesn't complete their end of the trade - I'll seriously go nuts. I traded rare items for it, I'm not about to just sit back and say, yeah, go and STEAL IT AFTER I STUPIDLY LOST A SPHERE. FUCK YOU.

Personality Disorder Test
....They got the Avoidant bit right.
I think the paranoia should be higher.
And antisocial should definitely be higher. But going by the criteria they've put, then definitely low. I've always thought being antisocial was just not liking to be around other people...
LOL at schizotypal. Seems right, judging by characteristics.

Skype Call
My first solo Skype call with Vio-chan! &hearts I was really, really nervous. xD Sorry about the grand tour and everything, Vio-chan. I kind of got carried away because I was so nervous, I didn't know what to say, I thought showing you the place would be...I dunno, didn't require me to talk much beyond describing. xDDD Must've been boring as nuts. DX
And my voice. ;~; I'm sorry about my voice. xD I try to tone it down and make it, I dunno, not so squealish, but it never works. xD Especially when I slip in more natural speech. It goes whiny. *pokes voice* It never grows up. xD
So now I'm even more nervous than more. n_____n'
